Our shop has been serving the local community with fresh meat and produce for over 100 years. We have been a member of the prestigious Q Guild of Butchers for over 25 years so you can be rest assured we run to a very high standard.

He supports Tottenham football club and is suppose to be retiring! Stuart has been working in the family business since he was 14 and now runs the shop with a little help from his wife Katy. He has recently started learning to play the guitar and enjoys the odd round of golf. Ali is one of our longest serving members of staff joining Barkers back in 2000.
Beef

All our beef is free-range, under 30 months old and reared to a high welfare standard. We believe strongly that all the animals we get will have been treated with respect, care and lived as natural a life as possible.
Pork

As with all our meat, our pork is sourced as locally as we possibly can from a farm in Somersham. The breed we get is a Large White crossed with a Welsh. These animals yield good fat cover and their meat has a lovely soft consistency combined with great taste. Weather you are after a traditional cut for Sunday lunch, a midweek chop, some ribs or steak for the barbeque or a slow roasted pulled pork there is plenty off the pig to whet the appetite!
Lamb

Another versatile meat with bags of flavour. Most of our lamb comes from Lincolnshire but we do also get some from other trusted Cambridgeshire farms. A couple of times a year we are extremely fortunate to get local lamb from Mr Barker senior's small holding in Barrington. Roasting leg - Perfect for Sunday dinner, especially delicious served with a rich red wine gravy.
Cheeses & Deli

We stock a wide range of British and continental cheeses, together with a large selection of cured, and cooked meats, together with various sauces and condiments. We also sell crackers, cakes, biscuits, pasta, Watergull apple juices, and local free-range eggs. You can also pick up a baguette or two from the counter top, which we freshly bake throughout the day.
