We've had good experiences on previous occasions, the food and service has been really good. However, on the last visit it was a real disappointment and the service was really not good at all with at least 40 minutes or more wait between courses and it wasn't particularly busy. When spending close to 400 as a group it's not really acceptable and even more so when there is no apology or explanation for the delays. Service aside, on every previous visit we've enjoyed the scotch eggs starter, I'm not sure what they've done to the recipe but that also was a big disappointment. Unfortunately now

The fillet au poivre is amazing and a good portion size, perfectly cooked. I had the sticky toffee for pudding and that was also amazing! I'd read very mixed reviews but I'm so glad I decided to eat here and even better that I was staying in the hotel for a 3 day work trip. Will definitely eat here again if I'm booked in to the hotel on my next visit. Staff were very welcoming and attentive

Absolutely stunning place. Been here for a dinner with friends and we all loved their steaks. No matter if you like them well done or medium rare, thats the place for you. After that we finished with drinks in the lobby which is also quite cosy and they offer nice bloody marry

Visited this evening with my partner for a meal out for the two of us. The food was some of the best we have had and we were very pleased with the portion size.
However, the staff were by far the most friendly and helpful that we have ever experienced. All members of staff that we interacted with were polite, well dressed, and most importantly very friendly. We would not hesitate to visit again as it was a lovely overall experience.

Ordered a table for 4 when I had visitors from abroad. Booking was easy and there was plenty of availability. Love the view out of the window! Service was very good and efficient. We had amazing dinner. Portions are generous for a good quality restaurant. We'll definitely come back.
