Mental Health Foundation
Prevention of poor mental health is something that we can all individually help with. A short conversation with another person can sometimes be enough to make the difference between life and death for them. The advice 'WAIT' is one good way to remember how you can support another person who may be suicidal. Our Chief Executive explains why we chose 'nature' as the theme for this year's Mental Health Awareness Week 2021.

About us
Report
Our vision is for a world with good mental health for all. Our mission is to help people understand, protect and sustain their mental health. Prevention is at the heart of what we do, because the best way to deal with a crisis is to prevent it from happening in the first place. To help us stay true to our mission and vision we have worked together to define our values.

Scotland
Report
In Scotland, our work focuses on overcoming the root causes of poor mental health, particularly social injustice and inequality, to create a wellbeing society that supports good mental health for all. We campaign for the evidence-based whole-population changes that will nurture supportive environments that empower people to live mentally healthy lives.
Northern Ireland
Report
New Mental Health Strategy provides strong basis for preventing mental health problems in Northern Ireland. Jade Yap looks at the evidence around mental health and exercise, and describes our new project on mental health and physical activity in Northern Ireland. Our agenda for mental health in Northern Ireland is outlined in our blog, which was published to coincide with the first Mental Health Summit.
