Services
Individual Counselling
Tailored one-on-one therapy sessions addressing mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Our counsellors employ evidence-based techniques to help clients develop coping strategies and achieve personal growth. Sessions last 60 minutes with qualified therapists or 90 minutes for complex cases, providing sufficient time for in-depth exploration of issues while maintaining structured progress towards therapeutic goals.
Couple Counselling
Specialised therapy for partners seeking to improve communication and resolve relationship difficulties. Sessions focus on rebuilding trust, addressing past traumas affecting relationships, and developing conflict resolution skills. Each 90-minute session provides space for both partners to express concerns while learning techniques to foster connection and mutual understanding through structured therapeutic interventions.
Trauma Recovery
Specialised treatment for individuals dealing with childhood trauma and complex PTSD. Utilising integrative approaches including the Comprehensive Resource Model, therapists help clients process traumatic memories safely while developing emotional regulation techniques. The therapy incorporates somatic awareness and cognitive restructuring to address trauma's impact on both mind and body, facilitating long-term healing.
CBT Sessions
Structured sessions applying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy principles to address anxiety, depression, and negative thought patterns. Therapists work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful cognitive distortions and develop practical coping strategies. The goal-oriented approach typically involves homework assignments and measurable progress tracking to achieve specific therapeutic outcomes within defined timeframes.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Exploratory therapy focusing on unconscious patterns influencing current behaviour. Sessions examine how past experiences, particularly from childhood, shape present relationships and self-perception. Therapists help clients develop insight into defence mechanisms and repetitive behavioural patterns, facilitating deeper self-understanding and lasting psychological change through sustained therapeutic engagement.

Kim is an amazing therapist. She has huge empathy. She is brave, able to really hear you, honest and full of acceptance. Kim skillfully employs her knowledge and experience of various counselling models to help her clients navigate their way through the thicket of painful experiences and to get to the root of their causes. The ultimate impact of my therapy was incredibly positive and hugely transformative. I am eternally grateful to Kim for her work. As a result I feel at home in myself.

I made more progress with Kim in ten weeks than I did with the NHS in ten years. My experiences with anxiety since working with Kim have been beyond what I thought was possible just months ago. I can't recommend her services enough; they have literally changed my life for the better.

Kim was supportive, intuitive, reassuring, empathetic and professional. Kim's knowlage and experience in counceling was very vident. I was welcomed to a warm friendly environment that immediately made me feel at ease. There was no judgement which helped me be honest with her and importantly myself. I knew it would be difficult but with Kim I knew I would be safe. Kim has been exceptional and I'm so pleased I chose Paisley Counceling for the most important journey I have ever made. I'm now entering a different journey which is just as important, living the rest of my life. Thank you Kim
