Services
Tree removal
Our tree removal service addresses safety risks and property conflicts through sectional or clear felling methods. Certified arborists assess site conditions to determine optimal removal techniques while preserving surrounding landscapes. We provide complete site restoration including stump grinding and waste recycling.
Tree pruning
Professional tree pruning maintains structural integrity and aesthetic value through BS3998-compliant techniques. We perform crown reduction, deadwood removal, and formative pruning to enhance tree health while mitigating risks from overgrowth and disease.
Stump grinding
Modern stump grinding eliminates tripping hazards and prepares sites for replanting. Using specialist machinery, we grind stumps 150-200mm below ground level, with options for mulch creation and ground restoration tailored to client requirements.
Hedge cutting
Precision hedge trimming services maintain property boundaries while promoting plant health. Our team handles Leylandii conifers and mixed hedgerows using petrol/manual equipment, with seasonal advice to maximise flowering and density.
Garden clearance
Comprehensive garden clearance removes invasive species and restores usability. We combine mechanical removal with eco-friendly practices to clear bramble, elder, and buddleia infestations while preserving desired vegetation and soil integrity.

Edinburgh Tree Surgeons pruned a fairly out-of-shape tree and removed two old shrubs in my back garden. From first contact to quote and scheduling the work, to execution it was very efficient, excellent value for money and high quality. Could not have wished for a better job to be done and planning to commission some further work shortly.

Report
We asked Edinburgh Tree Surgeons to prune a medium-sized birch tree for us and were delighted with the result. They worked carefully to reduce the height and width of the tree but keep its natural shape. We were particularly appreciative of the way Harry and his colleague worked together to ensure that our neighbours plants werent damaged in the process.

I have used Edinburgh Gardeners before and have always been pleased with any work done. This time part of my 6ft fence had come down and they repaired it quickly and efficiently. I shall continue to use them and will hopefully be having work done the spring

Excellent service from Alan and his team. Our trees look fantastic and the ivy is much more manageable! They were really tidy, polite and professional. I would definitely use their services again.
