Beautiful setting but expensive and understaffed and average food. Also wasn't crazy to overhear the unmasked staff talking about their kids, at home, with active COVID.
Also, quite pushy about the spendy NYE dinner but unresponsive to other requests.

I would give it a 0 if it were an option. I am thoroughly appalled by how management treats staff working there. I am very reluctant to recommend this establishment when they do not treat other staff as human beings. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future you get a great number of complaints and lawsuits to boot if you carry on in this vein. Shame on you for taking advantage of other human beings who are dedicated to serving the public. How can I possibly think you are serving me or my friends and family with respect as you cannot respect those who work for you and obviously lack respect for

We chose The Elms for a retreat after a foreign trip was cancelled. Decked out for Christmas it was picture perfect. The staff were attentive and the spa made it easy to leave all those stresses behind. The bar was cosy and inviting and almost too easy to settle into. The only minor blip was the restaurant food - for us it needed a step up to match the sparkle of the rest of the experience. Still 5 stars - there is no doubt that we will be back.

Definitely worth another visit.. unfortunately couldn't get a massage spot and the room was hot (though a fab was provided). Food was top notch.

Great spa hotel with amazing staff and an amazing restaurants. All rooms have recently been refurbished and the string is superb. The spa facilities are great and very well maintained. We loved this place
