Therefore for the surgery to maintain safe working practices, Victoria Park Health Centre is returning to a more traditional service. Providing a health service to students of the University of Leicester and local residents.

Originally as Medical Officers but becoming independent from the University in 1983. The practice is fully conversant with the spectrum of health care needs within this academic community and the surrounding city population.

Pharmacists

A clinical pharmacist is an expert in medicines; a pharmacist is trained for 5 years at university and also during work based placements. Some pharmacists complete further clinical training after qualifying and this may include training to prescribe medicines.
Our clinical pharmacists will work with individual patients to make sure the medicines they have been prescribed continue to be of benefit to each patient, taking in to account any changes in symptoms or clinical circumstances.This will be a medication review appointment, patients are encouraged to ask questions about medicines they are prescribed and also those they purchase when they meet with the clinical pharmacist.

Krishna Solanki and Zainab Patel - The management team are employed by the Practice and are responsible for the general day to day running of the Surgery. This includes; patient services, practice and staff development, financial management, human resources, premises management and information technology.
Opening Hours

When the practice is closed, there is an out of hours' emergency medical service available at all times. This service is meant for urgent and emergency problems and should not be used to avoid the inconvenience of consulting during the day. On dialling 111 a team of fully trained advisers and experienced nurses will assess your condition and direct you to the local service that can help you best, when you need it.
