We provide you with a fun, welcoming and motivating training environment for men, women and children of all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes! Our structured, tried and tested Martial Arts and Fitness training programmes build confidence and self-discipline, whilst strengthening your mind and body.

You can expect to benefit from. At Nexus, we teach Lau Gar Kung Fu which incorporates many aspects of traditional Kung Fu with a modern approach to fitness and flexibility training. Our Kickboxing sessions incorporate cardio vascular fitness and strength training as well as punching and kicking techniques.

I began my Martial Arts training in 1985 in Lau Gar Kung Fu which I still practice today and is at the heart of the Nexus Martial Arts syllabus. I have also trained with some of the UK's leading Instructors in various Martial Arts, predominately in Karate and Kickboxing. I achieved my 1st Degree Black Sash in Kung Fu and 1st Dan in Karate in 1990.
Martial Arts

A strong Martial Arts ethos is at the heart of what we do at Nexus and we love to share this with others. We teach a varied selection of Martial Arts classes for adults and our children's classes are extremely popular. We have a fully equipped Studio enabling us to deliver the highest quality instruction in Kung Fu, Kickboxing, competition fighting, musical and traditional forms.
Kung Fu

Our Kung Fu grades are held three times a year and our technical courses leading up to the grades prepare and ensure each student's readiness to take their grade.
Kickboxing

Our Kickboxing sessions incorporate cardio vascular fitness and strength training as well as punching and kicking techniques. We welcome all abilities to come and join us, especially those just starting out on their Martial Arts journey. Our Kickboxing grades are held three times a year and our regular technical courses leading up to the grades prepare and ensure each student's readiness to take their grade.
