La Grotta is the only independent Italian restaurant in the heart of Bristol's busy shopping area, Broadmead, and within 5 minutes of the fantastic Cabot Circus, which has been within the same family for over 35 years. La Grotta, meaning cave in Italian, has a warm & welcoming atmosphere, which will make you feel like part of the family, whether your a regular diner or visiting for the first time.
We can cater for large parties and work with you to create the perfect occasion, whether it be an office party or birthday celebration! Sourcing the freshest ingredients, most of which are imported directly from Italy, gives you a true taste of Italian food. We also take pride in our desserts. Our homemade cheesecake varies each week and can be taken away for you dessert lovers!

In 2015 my parents stepped back from the restaurant and I took over! I am extremely proud of everything they have done and only hope i can continue the success they have created. None of it would be possible without the amazing staff.
Augusto has worked at La Grotta for over 25 years, coming from a highly trained background in food service, Simone brings Italian flair from Rome, Richard (or Ricardo) has also been here for over 25 years as our head chef and general story teller.You will still see my Papa Alfonso working in the kitchen as well as my 'mamina' Anita and my wife Bev serving.
