Situated in the heart of the English Lake District, Brathay Lodge Guesthouse accommodation in Ambleside Cumbria is a 4 star guest accommodation and is well located for Fell walkers, mountain bikers, golfers and anyone of the many sports and pastimes the lakes provides, while Windermere, Bowness, Grasmere and Coniston are all within a short car journey for people wishing to explore the Lakes.

The Guesthouse is placed right in the centre of picturesque Ambleside, close to all the shops and services available and also scenic walks of course including Lake Windermere which is only a ten-minute stroll past the Roman fort of Galava. Our rooms are spacious and very comfortable, all rooms offer king size beds, and en suite bathrooms with bath and shower over.

The Windermere Epic Lakes Swim is final event of the Epic Lakes Open Water Swim Series. It takes place from YMCA Lakeside, Newby Bridge. You can choose either the 500m, the 1 mile or the 5km distances, depending upon your age and ability.
