We stayed at Hawksmoor at the end of November, Trevor and Phillipa were very friendly greeted you ever morning, room was spotless, bed very comfortable and toiletries smell amazing, breakfast was amazing, would highly recommend, 10 out of 10.

I have stayed in many hotels before retiring and I have to say this guest house is better than a lot of them,the breakfast was superb,the rooms were spotless and the hosts could not do enough for you we will be stopping again next time we go to the lakes

What a lovely place! Comfortable room, clean and cosy, scrumptious breakfasts (best poached eggs I've had in a long time), friendly attentive proprietors who make you feel really welcome. But it's the attention to detail that gives Hawksmoor the 5th star for me. Clever little ideas like a tiny motion sensor light over the door to the en-suite so you can see where you're going in the middle of the night, plenty of power sockets in sensible places around the room, some with USB sockets included so you can charge your electronics easily. Or the bottle opener on the tea tray. And I don't recall ever

We couldnt have asked for a better stay at the Hawksmoor guest house. The owners Trevor and Philippa were very welcoming and great hosts. The balcony room that we stayed in was modern, clean and had all the essentials that you would need and the breakfast was incredible . Finally the location was perfect with a short walk to both the lake and the village
