We stayed at High Barn Ambleside last week, it was warm and clean on arrival at 5pm -seems excessive late now for arrivals and leaving by 9am was also ridiculous because no one went there till after 10 when we left the area. Small fridge, small kitchen bin and very small outside bin - no where sufficient for families up to 5 persons. Beds were all very small for this day and age. No logs, kindling or even paper to light the fire, no welcome anything - it had a parking space but extremely tight and quite awkward to get to - with other cars parked badly. think people using covid is now just an excuse

Customer service is a delightful front but when it comes to reporting a problem they were dismissive and did not accept ownership of our complaint ( lack of cleaning of the property)

2nd time in a Wheelwrights cottage in Ambleside and it was fantastic. Lovely, spacious, tidy 8 bed cottage in Great Langdale, communicative team and easy key pickup. See you next year hopefully - thanks
