Not the first time of coming here, but certainly well worth visiting again. The festive platter was probably the best sharing board yet. Easily enough for two and such good value. Service excellent. Cant wait for another visit

Lovely and historic hotel. Great atmosphere and vibe. Food was amazing and the staff could not do enough for us. Highly recommended and can't wait to stay again.

Ideally situated in Lancaster city centre, room was very reasonable price, clean and comfortable. Service from start to finish was outstanding. Evening meal was excellent and breakfast was something I will look forward to next time I stay. Highly recommended.

We were recommended to come here for a meal and weren't disappointed. The pub/ hotel is old and has many interesting features, including a trap door I'm the floor leading down steps to an underground room used to store medicines for the apothecary which used to be there. The food was excellent, the menu varied. My peppercorn sauce was delicious. The only downside for me was the muzak, which I suppose is a "must" these days. The waiting staff were friendly and welcoming.

Food is amazing and I love the setting here. Staff are really friendly and helpful! Unfortunately kitchen closed at 9 so when we asked about dessert menus at the end of our meal we were told the kitchen had already closed!
