Established in 1977, 180 Dance Club has grown from a specialist Ballroom & Latin American school into a comprehensive dance and fitness hub serving Tyldesley and surrounding areas. Our founders, Nigel and Janice Horrocks, laid the foundation for a diverse programme that now includes Salsa, Argentine Tango, Ballet, Tap, Streetdance, and fitness classes. Under the leadership of Joanne Horrocks and Donna Wyatt since 2007, we have expanded our offerings to include children's parties, school holiday clubs, and event hosting while maintaining our reputation for excellence in competitive dance training.Our team of qualified instructors, many of whom are former competitors, deliver tailored instruction to beginners and championship dancers alike. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment where generations of families have built lasting memories through dance. Ballroom Dance
Our Ballroom Dance classes teach traditional styles including Waltz, Tango, and Foxtrot. Qualified instructors guide students through proper technique and partner coordination. Suitable for social dancers and competition aspirants of all experience levels.
Latin American
Latin American classes focus on Samba, Cha-Cha, Rumba, and Paso Doble. We offer progressive training from basic steps to advanced performance techniques. Classes cater to both recreational dancers and competitive couples.
Salsa Classes
Our Salsa classes combine authentic Latin rhythms with modern styling. Instructors specialise in both partner and solo forms. Classes run for all abilities from complete beginners to experienced dancers seeking refinement.

Joanne Horrocks
Principal
Joanne has led dance instruction since 2003, specialising in Ballroom and Latin styles. An Associate Member of the IDTA, she trains dancers from beginners to competition level while managing curriculum development.
Donna Wyatt
Principal
Donna brings expertise in Streetdance and Freestyle, having competed nationally. She oversees instructor training and develops programmes for adult learners while maintaining her adjudication credentials with the BDC.
Nigel Horrocks
Founding Principal
Nigel established the school in 1977, pioneering dance education in Tyldesley. He oversaw the transition from Ballroom specialism to multi-style academy before stepping back in 2017, ensuring legacy continuity.
Janice Horrocks
Founding Principal
Janice joined Nigel in 1977 to expand class offerings. She managed event programming and community engagement until 2017, establishing the school's reputation for inclusive dance education.
Emma
Instructor
Emma specialises in Ballet and Tap instruction, bringing 15 years' experience teaching children's classes. She also leads Stage and Fitsteps sessions, focusing on technique development for young dancers.

Absolutely beautiful dance studio. I began dancing later in life and the teachers here are so warm and welcoming. You can join to study ballroom and latin dancing like the chacha, waltz and rumba to name a few. Highly recommended!

I had three very very shy girls and the confidence they have gained in such a short space of time is amazing, & everyone not just the amazing staff but other dance moms and their kids have all been so welcoming to us and made us feel so at ease, I thought after a month mine would get bored but they genuinely love it and their new friends 👌🏼👌🏼

My daughter loves her dance class on a Wednesday night and has made new friends. It won't be long until my youngest daughter starts too
