Our restaurant serves breakfast from 8am daily while the bar remains open until 1am seven days a week featuring live DJ entertainment and a diverse drinks menu including our signature Tank Beer.The outdoor terrace overlooking Bruntsfield Links provides al fresco dining and drinking until late. We pride ourselves on being independently owned and deeply connected to our affluent neighbourhood offering local luxury for all through carefully curated menus and hospitality services. What are Black Ivys opening hours?
Our bar and restaurant operate from 7:30am to 1am daily with kitchen service until 10pm. The outdoor terrace remains open until 1am every day of the week.
Can I bring my dog to Black Ivy?
Yes we are dog-friendly but charge an additional cleaning fee. Please contact us in advance to arrange pet-friendly accommodation as policies apply to multiple dogs per room.
Do you offer parking facilities?
Free on-street parking is available outside our hotel during weekends and evenings. Alternative paid parking options exist nearby with directions provided by our team for longer stays.
What dining options are available?

Excellent service. The Staff are amazing and nothing is a problem. The food is out of this world and large portions . We will definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. You can keep your big chain hotels . If you want a hotel with a friendly atmosphere, bar and great food then this is the place. Also only a short walk and 23 bus to town ..

Wow! Great food, great service and the decor is beautiful. I'd never even heard of this place prior to visiting before the rugby on Saturday (13/11/21) but would go back in a heart beat. We had breakfast and stayed for an hour or so until time to go to Murrayfield. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the surroundings are beautiful. The food is delicious! There were 7 of us there and we had 4 full Scottish skillets, a bacon muffin, stack muffin and a smoked salmon breakfast. (Although I'm guessing with the last one to a degree as I just remember it had smoked salmon but not what it came

Used only bar and restaurant several times thus year. Food good, staff friendly, nice place but.. masks under noses. Why bother? Understand how Covid spreads, help drive it down. You serve clean water, why not clean air? Fitted masks help keep customers and staff and their families well.

It's a long time since we stayed in a hotel this good. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the high standard, attentive, courteous, helpful staff at all levels. The hotel is beautiful, spotless with extra touches throughout. We would not hesitate to return here and would highly recommend the hotel and the staff.

Lovely meal, very comfortable outside dining under cover and with outdoor heating. Food exceptional. Ate the best cheesecake I've ever had, and I've tried A LOT!
