Stayed during lockdown and excellent safety measures in place. Never got to see the dining room or lounge as they were closed when we visited but had breakfast delivered on a tray to our door every morning. Room was lovely and clean and facilities in room and bathroom were excellent. (Especially the fresh milk with key to mini bar) Will definitely recommend and stay again on our return to Southport

We wanted a relaxed weekend far from the madding crowd and happened upon Bowden Lodge. The service received from the moment of the phone call booking to the time we left was very good. Every aspect was first class and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended and will endeavour to stay again if in Southport. Thank you very much.

This place is lovely. Really quiet even though its on a busy road. Rooms are big, well decorated yet have a cosy feel to them.
Rooms came with very comfy beds, TV, coffee/Tea facilities, hairdryer etc. Nice touch was outside the room was a fridge and with beer, wine, milk, water and chocolate for guests to pay a small 'honesty' fee for them. The B&B is approx 10 min walk from the town centre or there is a bus service outside. Taxi service aren't expensive either or you can drive. My only grumble is that we wish we could have had a slightly larger TV (22" was a tad small) and that we had a heater
