Waterside Lodge

Waterside Lodge is a modern, purpose-built activity centre established in Southport, Merseyside, offering year-round outdoor and indoor experiences for youth groups, schools, and community organisations. As the headquarters for Sefton North Scouts, we specialise in watersports, adventure training, and event hosting, supported by fully qualified instructors certified through the Royal Yachting Association and British Canoeing. Our facilities include a 44-bed accommodation block, commercial kitchens, and a function room with panoramic views of Marine Lake. Licensed by the Adventurous Activity Licensing Authority, we ensure safety compliance while providing tailored programmes that align with Scouting activity badges. Our 10-pitch caravan site welcomes Scout members and affiliated groups, featuring electric hookups and modern amenities.

Strategically located on Marine Drive adjacent to the pier and beach, we combine accessibility with immersive natural surroundings. Since our inception, we have prioritised inclusivity, with fully accessible infrastructure for disabled users and adaptable programmes for accessibility groups. Our team's expertise in risk assessment management and adherence to AALA standards enables stress-free visits for educational institutions. Through partnerships with organisations like The Scout Association, we channel revenue into maintaining facilities that benefit over 1,000 young people annually. Our commitment to youth development is reflected in our diverse activity portfolio, from sailing and dragon boating to 24-hour yacht races, fostering skill acquisition and personal growth.
