Trevor Blount Pilates
We are fully committed to our philosophy of delivering high-quality Pilates. This is why we have a low ratio of two-clients-to-one-teacher and a longer 75-minute session, in contrast with the 60-minute sessions at most studios. Our work is about detail and constant refinement to harness the natural power of your whole body; it will enable you to experience what we call the "internal mechanism" of Pilates exercises.

The "internal mechanism" is unlocked through a process of constant refinement; it is a journey that you will take with your teacher to discover how to improve your body's functionality. It is the key - whatever your goal, whatever your age - to unlocking your movement potential and to restoring your body to its natural balance, strength and flexibility.

Pilates Benefits
Report
The holistic approach of Pilates is what differentiates it from other forms of physical exercise. What makes Trevor Blount Pilates so important for posture is that it trains the deep structural muscles that support our skeletal system. This makes movement much more efficient and reduces overloading on our feet, knees, hips, spines, shoulders and necks, and reduces headaches.
Our Teachers
Report
Working at the studio, one can really see and feel the difference Trevor Blount Pilates makes. After reading an article about Pilates in 1983, I began to learn the system with former-dancer, Dreas Reyneke. In 1985, I completed teacher training with Alan Herdman, who pioneered Pilates in the UK, and worked with him before setting up my own studio in 1991.

He was responsible for starting the PILATESfoundation in 1996 and was instrumental in creating the structure for the PILATESfoundation teacher training accreditation system, which started in 1999.
