Questions
What types of care does Lakeside provide?
We offer residential care for elderly individuals over 65, including respite stays. Our services focus on personal care, mobility assistance, and social engagement without dementia or nursing care.
How are care plans developed?
Initial assessments by management create personalized care plans considering physical, emotional, and social needs. Plans are reviewed regularly with residents and families.
Can family visit at any time?
Yes, though we recommend avoiding lunch hours (1-2:30 PM). Visitors must sign in and follow staff guidance to ensure resident safety and comfort.
What happens during medical emergencies?
Our 24-hour staff coordinate with local healthcare providers. Transport arrangements can be made for non-urgent appointments, while emergencies follow established CQC protocols.
Are there additional costs for amenities?
Meals, utilities, and basic laundry are included. Additional services like hairdressing, private phone lines, or special publications incur extra charges.
How does the admission process work?
Prospective residents receive a home visit and assessment. A four-week trial period begins after reviewing our Statement of Purpose and completing necessary paperwork.

Oct 03, 2018 Report
I recently visited a friend living at Lakeside. Iwas most impressed by the helpfull and friendly attitude of the Staff. My friend appears very happy and contented and speaks highly of her care. I was offered a drink, and was brought a tray with coffee in a cafeteria for my self and teapot etc for my friend - plus a slice of cake each! Lovely. A very enjoyable visit. Congratulations
