Services
Community-Based Services
Our community-based diagnostic services bring essential healthcare closer to home, featuring endoscopy, ultrasound, and aortic aneurysm clinics. These services reduce hospital visits while maintaining high-quality care. Patients benefit from early cancer detection through lung scans and convenient access to specialist diagnostics in familiar surroundings.
Child Immunisations
We provide comprehensive child immunisation services following NHS schedules. Our team ensures timely vaccinations for children up to 18 years, maintaining detailed records and offering catch-up programmes. Parents receive clear guidance on vaccine safety and scheduling through face-to-face consultations and digital resources.
NHS Health Checks
Face-to-face health clinics for adults aged 40-74 focus on preventative care and early disease detection. These comprehensive assessments identify risk factors for conditions like heart disease and diabetes. Our approach combines medical evaluation with personalised lifestyle advice to improve long-term health outcomes.
Digital Health Tools
Our digital platform offers 24/7 access to medical consultations, prescription requests, and health records through systems like Engage Consult and the NHS App. Patients can book appointments, submit administrative requests, and access self-care information remotely, reducing the need for in-person visits.
Health Coaching
Personalised health coaching helps patients make sustainable lifestyle changes. Our coaches specialise in areas like weight management, smoking cessation, and chronic condition management. The service combines behavioural science with practical strategies to improve physical and mental wellbeing through structured support programmes.

I'm currently patient at this surgery. Over the years they got worse and worse. I suffer with prolonged issues withmy back, and I am treated like a druggie, expecting medications, that let me get out of bed. Those people will not pay my bills, so I have to be able to move. All I hear is the meds are not for long term use, and they are strong. If your legs are paralyzed from exruciating pain every morning, you will get annoyed. It is not like a flu, it wll go in a week. Back problems is very overlooked issue. Same with RLS. I was told medications are for short term. Well RLS. Is lifelong condition

I have been a patient with Thistlemoor Medical centre for more years than I care to recall.
Therefore, I have experienced a number of changes to service delivery however, what has remained mostly consistent is the high standard of care that I have received from the Doctors and staff. The pandemic has enforced a massive change to the way we all work and live our lives and this includes how key services are delivered to us. I am computer literate however, this did not stop me from being frustrated by having to go through the Engage Consult online service as I have had always had a preference to

I have been a patient of Thistlemoor Medical Centre for over 29 years. Since March 2020 the whole place has been a complete shambles. No one knows what they are doing, they are over run with patients and providing a decent standard of healthcare doesn't seem to be a priority. They have made numerous mistakes with regards to myself and also my 6 month old son. They couldn't even copy his name from my application form to the system correctly (this is still incorrect to this day). They nearly gave him his 8 week injections a second time instead of his 12 week injections because it wasn't documented

This morning I started to try and get in touch with the surgery from 8.30am as told to by reception on Friday afternoon as I wanted to speak to a doctor. At 8.30 I was number 30 in the cue where by I got cut off when I got to 27. Tried another three times and was back to 30 again. Left it for 30 min tried again and was told my called could not be taken at the moment, this happened 3 times. Left it another 1 hour where I hung on for 45 mins and when I finally got to talk to someone I was quite annoyed, she arranged for me to be able to talk to a doctor today at some point. I wanted to know why it
