G.F. White Traditional Family Butchers
G. F. White Butchers are a Traditional Family Butchers, Purveyors of Fine Meats, based in Aylsham, Norfolk. We specialise in Meat, Game and Poultry. Meat has been our business for three family generations and we prepare many of our products to traditional family recipes. Our aim has always been to produce good quality products, so we take pride in the sourcing, hanging, and preparing of our meat.

Meal times are an essential part of our everyday lives, and whether you are looking for a quick weekday meal solution or a special cut to entertain friends and family we can provide you with a product that you can trust to deliver a tasty solution. There are thousands of different cuts of meat and even more ways we can prepare it: cubed, diced, sliced, salted, smoked, minced, boned, rolled, stuffed.

We like to make Fridays fascinating with a little factual information that you probably didn't know. Game is wild, natural and free range and if you are looking for something low in fat and cholesterol, game is a delicious and healthy alternative to many other red meats. Beef
Report
The majority of our beef is reared using traditional methods on meadows around Blickling Hall on the National Trust Estate and is 'Freedom Food' accredited. This gives you peace of mind that our beef has had a good life and has been looked after well. I believe if you start with a good product, it can only get better.
Chicken & Duck

Our barn range Chickens come from Diaper Poultry Ltd, a long established family firm based in Suffolk. Our free range Chickens come from the Ivan, Diane and Jason Pearts, a family run farm - Martins Farm - at Hindolveston.

The chickens are traditional free range, allowed to wander the fields during the day, with access to shelter at night, they scavenge for food and are fed a diet of ground wheat and barley, both of which are grown on the farm (with spraying kept to a minimum and used mostly to maintain thistles) with no antibiotics or additives.These slowly reared naturally fed chickens have a lovely pink meat which produces a succulent and moist meat on cooking.
Game & Venison

All our Game including Venison is available during the open season (early November to the end of January) except Rabbits and Pigeons which are available all year round. The Game is shot locally at Blicking and the surrounding countryside and processed on our premises. Lamb
Report
Our Lamb is reared by a local shepherd, whose flock grazes on National Trust meadows around Aylsham. Our Lamb is from "Trevor Child" at Dole Farm, Hevingham. The ewes are North Country Mules all crossed with Texels, producing lamb with a good consistent conformation without too much fat. The ewes are bought into lamb and then returned to the fields around Salle, Blickling and Wroxham.
