The Fleece overlooks the expanse of Witney's beautiful Church Green. Since we took it over twenty years ago it has twice been voted one of the top twenty pubs in the UK. Loyally supported by the people of Witney we are one of the few places in town where you can sit outside on sunny days, eating, drinking and watching the world go by. We also have a private dining room for meetings or parties and 10 comfortable, characterful en suite bedrooms.

The old proverb demands that we should eat breakfast like Kings (and Queens). We serve up the favourites and always prioritise quality produce - our eggs and bacon are free-range and our sausages are from Jimmy Butler's farm. Starting the day has never tasted so good. Our speciality coffee is Union Hand-roasted's Compaero blend of beans from small-scale co-operatives in Peru and Honduras.

Our King Rooms are full of character with large comfy beds, rain showers and 40 inch size TV. Most of our King rooms can be made up as twins and fit a zed bed. Book our rooms in the cottage and have you own floor with a neighbouring cosy room. We want you to feel as relaxed as possible in our pub. Safety has always been important to us, and now even more so than ever.

Whether you want to drink and dine outdoors shaded by the sun or cosy up on cooler evenings, we've got you covered, literally. All outdoor bookable tables are undercover. There's always tables free for walk-ins, so on those sunnier days, where we don't need the cover, just give us a call on the day, or pop down.
