Popped in for a short visit, the quality of the produce was almost dwarfed by the friendly service from the head butcher. No request is too small.

I guess this is the only local butchers available in Newbury. Heard a lot about these family owned butchers in center of Newbury (on Newbury bridge) so gave a try, ordered lamb and was not disappointed. They were well stocked and ordering, packaging, payment was quick.

My father was a butcher in Cornwall all his life and owned an abattoir they give the trade a bad name with terrible rude arrogant service, the pork on their counters had better manners when it was alive, most ungentlemanly conduct and the worst customer service I have ever witness.
