I've managed to find my hometown wine to this merchant, I was always getting wine, by my Dad, from Tenuta Casali winery in Mercato Saraceno (Italy).. But after Brexit that's unfortunately changed due to the massive costs.. You can't even imagine how happy I'm with this! Thanks for your excellent service, it means a lot to me! This is an outstanding wine merchant who takes enormous care to select wines of genuine quality and authenticity which are true to their origins. As a customer I feel that the buyer has personally worked exceptionally hard to identify the best wines from a given region, sifting through scores of samples, winnowing out the not-so-good, to finally settle on a wine to buy. Value for money is an important part of the equation, too. Their 2019 Burgundy En-Primeur offer was a model of its kind; the provision of split cases enabled customers to choose a wide selection of wines at varying prices without

SVS specialise in high-quality (but good value) wines in the 10-20 'sweet spot' price bracket. I've yet to find a dud from their selections. Very efficient service and delivery as well!

SVS is one of the nicest merchants to deal with. Fabulous choices of producer and wines, friendly cheerful service, keen prices and boundless enthusiasm. Top wine critics (eg Jancis Robinson) often rave about the SVS portfolio of wines. Simon and his team also have a 'philanthropic' soft spot for South African wines where the whole wine trade suffered not just an export ban on wine but a domestic one too for a while. You cannot go wrong with any wine in the portfolio. Buy with confidence.

As always SVS delivered my recent order next working day with no errors. My only problem with them as a wine merchant is that they regularly send me more mouth watering offers than my budget or my cellar can cope with. My kind of merchant. So many great finds, many from less fashionable (read expensive) regions, but always carefully selected, good value and good of their kind.
