Originally from Glasgow, Iain brings extensive international hospitality experience from cruise ships and global travel. He moved to Glencoe in 2014 to establish Beechwood Cottage B & B with Jackie, combining his passion for service with Highland living.
Questions
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is strictly between 4pm and 8pm. Please vacate your room by 10am on departure day to allow for cleaning and preparation for incoming guests.
Do you have cancellation policies?
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required. Cancellations with less than 7 days notice incur full charges if rooms cannot be re-let. We recommend purchasing travel insurance.
What breakfast options are available?
We serve a full Scottish breakfast with vegetarian, gluten-free, and lighter options. Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon are available, plus packed lunches at £7.50 when pre-ordered.
Are pets allowed?
We cannot accommodate pets due to our two resident cats, Smokey and Tinky. However, we welcome cat lovers to enjoy their company during their stay.

The Beechwood Cottage B&B was a great place to stay -- I wish I had planned for more days in Glencoe just so I could have stayed there longer. The place is very well maintained with quirky decorations both outside and in. The room was comfortable for one person -- it would've been a squeeze had my husband been with me, but it was perfect for one person. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options.
They had a great whisky and wine honor bar of which I did not partake, but it was a great thought. The views of the mountains were spectacular. The inclusion of a kettle, hot chocolate mix, and lovely

Jakie and Ian were the perfect hosts! Always polite, they treated us very well and gave us a lot of suggestions to explore glencoe We had the perfect stay in the cottage. The bedroom was in perfect condition, the view from the window was amazing and i loved the care the hosts put in every detail! Very pleased with the covid precautions. Little plus: Smoky, the cat, is the cutest!

Amazing place and very comfy room supplied with everything you might need. Jackie cooks the best breakfast and Iain knows everything about the area. They have two adorable cats that love to cuddle. We will be back for sure!
