At Neat Sweet Feet, we're enormously proud of our small team and our abilities to treat our clients. During the quiet bits of treatment sessions, clients sometimes ask me "so, why feet then?" I am a degree-qualified podiatrist, but I have also studied holistic massage and sport massage techniques: I find that these skills give me a broader toolbox with which to assess and treat a wider range of patient ailments.

Podiatry - or podiatric medicine - is a branch of medicine devoted to the study, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. Firstly we will gather personal details, medical history and a full list of your current medication. Typical treatment you might receive may include a nail cut, removal of any calluses and any additional corns or verrucae treated.

In relation to podiatry, biomechanics is the way in which the muscles, bones and joints of the feet and lower limb interact and move. It is this movement that enables the foot and leg to adapt to different surfaces and absorb the impact of placing the foot down. We will start by collecting a detailed history of your presenting problem, previous treatments, current symptoms and relevant medical history.

It works by delivering impulses of energy, targeted to specific damaged tissues within the abnormal tendon. In medicine, a contraindication is a condition or factor that serves as a reason to withhold a certain medical treatment due to the harm that it may cause the patient. Patients taking certain medication including antiplatelets (for example, aspirin or clopidogrel) or anticoagulants (such as warfarin or rivaroxaban).
