Services
Tree Felling
Our professional tree felling service safely removes trees of all sizes using techniques like assisted felling, dismantling, and rigging. We conduct pre-job risk assessments, manage conservation area restrictions, and ensure minimal disruption to your property. With advanced equipment and certified expertise, we handle hazardous or complex tree removals while maintaining strict safety standards.
Pruning & Hedge Cutting
We offer crown reduction, thinning, and deadwooding to enhance tree health and aesthetics. Our hedge cutting services reshape overgrown hedges while preserving plant vitality. Each intervention follows arboricultural best practices to promote growth, improve light penetration, and maintain structural integrity for long-term tree wellbeing.
Tree Surveys
Our LANTRA-certified surveys identify tree health, structural risks, and disease. We provide detailed reports with management recommendations, including preservation strategies and planting plans. This service ensures compliance with TPOs and conservation area requirements while guiding proactive tree care decisions.
Stump Grinding
We use specialist machinery to grind stumps below ground level, with alternative ecoplug treatments for inaccessible areas. This service eliminates trip hazards, improves site aesthetics, and prevents regrowth, leaving your property ready for landscaping or development.
Cherry Picker Hire
Our IPAF-compliant cherry pickers are available for commercial and residential use. Ideal for high-reach tasks, this equipment supports safe, efficient tree work, construction projects, and maintenance operations across Fife and Dundee with expert operator support.

If you are looking for a tree surgeon look no further than HL Tree Services.
Harry and his Team provided a thoroughly professional package for our project, which included the removal of six very mature trees and tree stumps. The quote for the work required was competitive and throughout the assignment the Team were proficient, hard-working and followed safe working practices. All team members communicated well and were polite and friendly. On completion of the works the site was fully reinstated and all waste material removed. We would highly recommend the services provided by HL Tree Services

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Harry for rescuing my son's frisbee from a tall tree in Craigtoun Park! We had only just got the frisbee and my son was horrified when the wind caught the frisbee on his first throw and took it up high into a tree. It made my sons' afternoon to see it rescued with the help of the Harry's crane. Fantastic and unexpected customer service!

The 24,hour service IS REAL 💪🏼
Impeccably polite and professional, despite the lateness of my call. Listened to my problem , they then explained the potential cause, and directed me to a solution!! A fantastic way to ensure who I will recommend to others AND who I will call FIRST , if I need help in my garden again.
10/10 for a 5 ⭐️ service. 👍🙏
