Luxury Lodges
Our six bespoke lodges combine Scandinavian-style design with modern comforts. Each features open-plan living areas, smart TVs, fully equipped kitchens, and private decking with lake views. Beds are made on arrival, with luxury robes and towels provided. The Nordic-inspired wood burners create a cosy atmosphere, while contemporary bathrooms ensure comfort.
Dog-Friendly Lodges
Willow and Kingfisher Lodges welcome well-behaved dogs. These units feature secure outdoor spaces and direct access to woodland walks. Pet owners receive doggy waste bags and nearby alpaca interaction opportunities. The lakeside setting allows fishing companions to bring both human and canine guests.
Fishing Breaks
Three well-stocked lakes contain carp up to 28lb, bream, and roach. Guests receive exclusive fishing rights to designated lake halves. Private platforms and steps with handrails ensure accessibility. Equipment storage is available, and hosts provide local fishing tips. No separate licence required for on-site waters.
Alpaca Experience
Guests can book feeding sessions or guided treks with our alpaca herd. The experience includes hands-on contact, photo opportunities, and educational insights about these animals. Located adjacent to Lodge No 6, the alpaca field offers a unique rural attraction included in the stay.
Romantic Escapes
Cedar Lodge, our 'honeymooners lodge', features a private fishing platform and south-facing sun deck. Personalised services include champagne on arrival, flower arrangements, and massage bookings. The romantic setting combines secluded woodland views with luxurious amenities for special occasions.

Andrew Taylor
Co-Owner & Lake Manager
Andrew oversees lake maintenance, fish stock management, and property upkeep. His expertise ensures well-maintained fishing waters and safe access platforms. He works alongside Jill to maintain the site's 5-star rating through hands-on management of all facilities.
Questions
What time can I check into my lodge?
Lodges are available from 4pm. Contact Jill 30 minutes before arrival for gate codes. Early access may be possible if the lodge is ready.
Can I bring my dog to the lodges?
Yes, Willow and Kingfisher Lodges accept one well-behaved dog per stay. A £25 pet fee applies, and dogs must be kept off furniture.
What fishing facilities are available?
Three lakes stocked with carp, bream, and roach. Guests receive exclusive rights to half of their nearest lake. No licence required for on-site waters.
Are there nearby attractions to visit?
Exeter city centre is 10 minutes away with shops, restaurants, and historic sites. Nearby attractions include Dartmoor National Park and the Jurassic Coast.
Is there EV charging at the lodges?
Lodge No 6 has electric vehicle charging available at £25 per night. Pre-booking is required for this facility.
What special packages do you offer?
Romantic packages include champagne, flowers, and massage options. Alpaca experiences and customised gift hampers can be arranged upon request.

Absolutely amazing, if you want to chill, you can cook for yourself or go to some local pubs and restaurants nearby...... definitely go and stay it is awesome

Our second stay and it was even better than we remembered it. The dog and the children loved the freedom to go off and explore round the lakes. The lodges are 5* and Jill & Andrew make you feel very welcome, always on hand. Highly recommended. Fishing is excellent; lots of action with small stuff on the float plus we had 30+ carp to 20lb, Ive the course of the week just fishing mornings and evenings.
