Booked 3 nights away for my husband's 60th birthday. We ended up leaving early. On arrival, we went to have a drink at the bar. They'd run out of a few beers and only had one left on tap. They'd run out of Holy Island Meade too. I asked the following day if we could book a table in the restaurant for dinner. I was told it was closed over winter, but we could dine in the bar area instead. I asked if we might have a nice table, as it was my husband's 60th birthday. I said he doesn't want any fuss, but a nice table would be lovely. We came downstairs at 7pm. All the tables by the window and log

I really enjoyed our stay here. We upgraded to room with a view over the harbour which was lovely - the winter sun setting looked amazing. The bar/restaurant food is OK, service pleasant - no complaints (there are many other places to eat on the island). The room seemed over priced for what it was - but that's all - and I'd stay there again.

Such a wonderful place to stay. The staff are so kind and welcoming. My dog was travelling with us and for the first time I felt he was not seen as an inconvenience. They were helpful to my friend who is deaf and understood her need for a quiet table in the bar. The food was great. The views fantastic. This is my second stay and I will definitely be returning.
