Services
Osteopathy
Osteopathy at Body Mechanix Harpenden focuses on diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders through manual techniques. Our practitioners use spinal manipulation, soft tissue work, and joint mobilisation to address back pain, neck pain, and sports injuries. Treatment plans incorporate rehabilitation exercises and lifestyle advice to promote long-term wellness while maintaining strict adherence to GOsC regulatory standards.
Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapy service specialises in restoring mobility and managing pain through evidence-based interventions. Qualified practitioners employ hands-on treatment, therapeutic exercises, and electrotherapy modalities to address post-injury recovery, postural issues, and chronic conditions. Treatment integrates seamlessly with osteopathic care for comprehensive musculoskeletal management.
Sports Massage
Sports massage therapy combines deep tissue techniques with myofascial release to enhance athletic performance and recovery. Practitioners utilise Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, and stretching protocols to treat sports injuries, improve circulation, and prevent future musculoskeletal issues while maintaining client comfort.
Paediatric Osteopathy
Specialised cranial osteopathy for infants and children addresses birth-related tensions and developmental concerns. Practitioners with advanced paediatric training employ gentle, non-invasive techniques to treat colic, feeding difficulties, and sleep disturbances while maintaining close communication with parents and healthcare professionals.
Mummy MOT
The Mummy MOT service provides comprehensive postnatal assessments for women's health recovery. Specialist practitioners evaluate pelvic floor function, abdominal separation, and posture to create tailored rehabilitation programmes addressing incontinence, pelvic pain, and diastasis recti through targeted exercises and manual therapy.

Report
I feel like a new person thanks to Claire. I suffered months of acute pain following a shoulder injury. I was given increasingly high doses of painkillers and anti-inflammatories by my GP and only had phone appointments with NHS physio. I couldn't sleep at night due to the pain in my shoulder, and just couldn't see an path towards recovery. I realised I had to change my approach so I made an appointment to see Claire and her treatment feels miraculous to me. Following months of pain, I was able to stop taking medication after my very first appointment and sleep restfully again. I've had 4 appointments
