Stayed here once and left early because the room was dirty, carpets threadbare, wallpaper peeling off the wall....shocking misrepresentation of a 4 star rated hotel, we even wrote to tourism Scotland about this place it was that bad.

Loved it, totally worn out and tired but the housekeeping was spot on, very clean and tidy.
Leaky windows, so quite cold and lots of traffic noise. Heating very poor. Room, huge. We enjoyed our stay and location for us, perfect

Fantastic hotel and great value for money and an excellent location on the edge of the main shopping area. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, breakfast was generous and varied. The only downside was that our room was right at the top on the 3rd floor - with no lifts! - it was 100 steps from the entrance to our room, so bear that in mind if you are not in great health when making your booking. The room was a good size and the bathroom modern and clean. Would definitely stay here again.
