As Managing Director along with my two sons Ralph and Edward I am pleased and honoured to preside over our 6th generation family business, established back in 1870. Arranging the funeral of someone close to you is a hard thing to do, our family will do all we can to take care of all the funeral arrangements and be there for you. The funeral service is a way of saying goodbye to someone who has died. We will let you know all the options available to you and make sure the funeral will be in accordance with your wishes and those of your lost loved one or friend.

Here is some guidance that our family feel will be helpful to you. For more further help please call A.J.Sellman Funeral Directors and ask to speak to Ralph or Edward Poole or one of our trained members of staff. In most cases you will need to register the death within five days and it is best to visit the registrar in the area in which the person died.

At the time of making arrangements for a funeral, it is not always easy or necessary to determine what your future memorial requirements will be. A memorial is not just a marker erected over a grave to remind us of the name of the deceased, it is a lasting symbol of remembrance, a tribute to a life now ended and perhaps a final gift to someone dearly loved.
