About Us
Report
We are all family at O'Malleys and it is our promise to treat all those we care for and support as if they are family too. Managing Director Jack, along with siblings Luke and Grace, are also supported by uncles Andy and John and cousins Ian and Sean who assist on funeral services. His exposure to funerals began whilst altar serving in his childhood at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Burntwood.
Burials
Report
Burials can be significantly more expensive than cremations. This higher price is due to the rising cost of purchasing graves as space for new interments becomes increasingly limited. Prices vary from area to area and are different depending on whether a burial is to take place in a new grave or a pre-owned plot.
After the Death of a Loved one
Report
When someone passes away, their death will need to be verified by a Nurse, Doctor or Paramedic. The 'Medical Cause of Death Certificate' is produced by the last Doctor to treat your loved one. The GP or hospital staff may ask if the funeral is to be a burial or cremation, this is so the relevant paperwork can be prepared for the funeral director.
Help with Funeral Costs
Report
You could get a Funeral Expenses payment from the government if you claim certain benefits and need help with some of the funeral costs. The person claiming one of these benefits must be the partner or a very close relative of the person who has died. You may not get help if another close relative of the deceased (such as a sibling or parent) is in work and can help with the cost of the funeral.
Funeral Plans
Report
A Pre-paid funeral plan is a way of planning and paying for your funeral in advance to save you and your family time and money when the time comes. This can either be through a lump sum, or by monthly instalments. Having a prepaid funeral plan in place is the simplest, most caring and most practical way to remove the financial and emotional worry, as well as the responsibility, that unexpected funeral arrangements can bring.
