MOT Testing
Vic Young provides authorized MOT testing at our South Shields facility, with over 50 years of examiner accreditation. Our technicians complete thousands of MOTs annually, offering 'while you wait' service with complimentary refreshments. We handle Class 7 MOTs for vehicles weighing 3,000-3,500kg and combine testing with servicing packages starting from 218. Our test centre serves customers from Jarrow, Hebburn, Sunderland, and Newcastle areas.
Vehicle Conversions
Our specialist conversions department creates bespoke vehicle adaptations including wheelchair-accessible vehicles (WAVs), electric conversions, and commercial vehicle modifications. We manufacture electric box vans, fridge vans, and tipper vehicles while providing Motability-approved WAVs with remote-controlled tail lifts and secure docking systems. Recent projects include mobile laboratories for Newcastle University and Red Bull Formula 1 team minibuses.
Used Car Sales

This was my first dealings with Vic Young's, I found the whole experience very straight forward. I was looking for a mobility car and the salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable. The Citroen Berlingo I purchased was delivered promptly with no issues. From the initial enquiry at reception to delivery 2weeks later the whole experience was excellent.

Went to view an MG ZS and get prices including trading in my previous vehicle and salesman was very helpful identifying a car already on the forecourt. Loved the car and rang up the next morning to buy the car. The salesman made the whole process so easy picking up the car the following day. I bought a MG5EV Exclusive on Friday. Fantastic price, 4 year PCP deal on 0% APR, great trade in offered, BUT mostly friendly; honest service with a smile and a laugh or 2. My first experience of using Vic Young, or any dealer recently. The whole experience was faultless, from the initial phone conversation to the personal delivery of the 'granny charger' which was missing from the car when collected! Would not hesitate to recommend them!
