Lisburn Physiotherapy was established in 1992 and has been providing high quality physiotherapy to people who live and work in Lisburn and beyond. Our aim is not only to get you better, but to teach you how to prevent the injury recurring again. I fractured my left tibia after a stress fracture. Iain at Lisburn Physio guided me through my rehab.
He has been a constant source of help over the years and always kept encouraging me when it felt easier to give up. I was assessed by Kerry at Lisburn Physio at the start of last season. I had recurrent hamstring problems which she found were due to restricted hips and low back stiffness. After 4 treatments I felt faster in training, and was injury free for the rest of the season.

Sports Massage
Report
Training for a marathon? Sore after pre-season hockey? Be good to yourself and book a deep sports massage. Fantastic at easing tired heavy legs and great way to flush out lactic acid after a hard training session. Other benefits of sports massage include improvement of blood circulation, reduction of swelling, increasing joint and muscle flexibility, aiding the prevention of sports injuries.
Acupuncture
Report
Acupuncture is one of the many skills used within physiotherapy as an integrated approach to the management of pain, inflammation and as a means of enhancing the body's own healing chemicals in order to aid recovery and enhance rehabilitation.
Acupuncture is used by physiotherapists, against a background of sound research and evidence, as a means of enhancing pain modulation via the stimulation of the brain and spinal cord to generate pain relieving chemicals such as endorphins; melatonin to promote sleep and serotonin to promote well being. These assist the body's healing process and offer pain relief as a precursor for other manual or exercise therapy.
