Our chefs have perfected the quintessentially British art of High Tea, serving homemade finger-foods, sweet treats, and loose-leaf teas. Wedding Venue
We are a fully licensed boutique wedding venue with capacity for 50 guests. Our Georgian townhouse features grand fireplaces, soft lighting, and stripped wood floors. Packages include venue hire, catering, dedicated coordination, and discounted hotel rates at our adjoining Rodney Hotel for wedding parties.
Corporate Events
Host professional gatherings in our light and airy meeting spaces with state-of-the-art equipment. Choose from two adaptable rooms with capacities up to 40 guests. Our Meet & Eat packages include room hire, refreshments, lunch, dinner, and wine from 70 per person, with discounted accommodation available.
Seasonal Menus
Our menus change seasonally to reflect the best of Bristol's local produce. From herbs grown in our Secret Garden to meat sourced from local butchers, our chefs create innovative dishes daily. Sample menus are available for daytime and evening service with adjustments made based on supplier availability.
Questions
Is the restaurant open for walk-ins?
Walk-ins are welcome for A La Carte dining Tuesday-Saturday 1-4pm and 6-8:30pm, but cannot be guaranteed during private events.
Can I book afternoon tea?
Afternoon Tea bookings require advance reservation through our online form, with walk-ins accepted for Cream Teas only.
Do you cater to dietary requirements?
We offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options across all menus, with chefs adapting dishes to meet specific dietary needs when notified in advance.
Can I hire the venue for events?
Yes, we offer free venue hire for private parties, weddings, and corporate events with minimum spend requirements for exclusive use.

One of the worst experiences with any restaurant group I have ever witnessed. Do not book No.4 Clifton Village for group bookings or Christmas parties.
Cancelled our 40 people three course roast dinner meal at No 4. Clifton Village, in a private room, 3 hours before our booking and moved us to Pizza on the park. No accommodations were made for the significantly lesser experience of a communal space in a pizza restaurant, until it was pointed out that this restaurant offered a package cheaper per head so one glass of processeco was provided. A sharing starter, pizza main and a desert was agreed

Groupon deal - steak was amazing and cooked to perfection and the salmon was too - the only reason it's not 5 /5 is because the food was a little too salty. Quiet pricey but otherwise great and highly recommended.

Me and my partner had a beautiful evening. The ambience was very cosy and romantic. The staff were very friendly and warm and the food was delicious. I had a few dishes, so sample the menu properly. It was all very tasty. The best restaurant of the trip.

The venue was perfect for the wedding ceremony and reception after. Seamlessly organised and brilliant service made for a lovely event. Great hidden garden for photos and drinks. Great place, great service, oh and the food was of a very high standard, served efficiently and unobtrusively.

We booked Clifton No. 4 for our small wedding reception. The service we received was outstanding from start to finish. They accommodated a last minute change of date without having to sacrifice any quality. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic staff, really good food and drinks, excellent support and organisation!
