New Farm Restaurant

Jane & Crispin Bond have tastefully converted this lovely Ham stone building, originally a working farm run by Jane's family since the late 1800's, into a delightful restaurant. Together with Jane's sister Sue, we can genuinely say that we provide a restaurant with rooms that is family run with a relaxed ambience and a service personal but not intrusive.

Weekly Specials and Regular Take Aways are available Thursdays only, collected from our downstairs restaurant area or delivered to your door. Times for collection/delivery are allocated to best accommodate social distancing and hopefully your appetite!

There is plenty of room for social distancing on collection, we ask you to stand 2m back from the collection table whilst we place your order on it, we will then retreat 2m back whilst you collect your order.Contactless Payment is preferred either by credit card or BACS. Cash payments if absolutely necessary to be put in a "quarantine" pot, exact money please.

At New Farm Restaurant we have three rooms available, all en-suite and tastefully finished to 4-star standard as rated by the AA. You can be sure of a warm welcome, complimentary tea and scones or Somerset apple cake are usually available or a free glass of wine with your meal if you dine with us. If you are planning a mini-break call us to make your booking and we can offer discounts depending on your length of stay.

Situated in the picturesque village of Over Stratton in rural South Somerset, we are surrounded by farmland and orchards. The nearest shops are in the village of South Petherton, just over a mile away, with a post office, the Co-op and boutique shopping. For more adventurous shopping, Yeovil is 10 miles and Taunton 16 miles.

There is a bus stop 500 metres from our front door with local services run by SouthWest Coaches, Berry's Coaches also stop here with a service coming direct from Hammersmith, London.We are happy to arrange collection from the bus stop. The nearest local taxi service operates out of South Petherton 1.5 miles away, other local taxis are available, please see below.
