Our guest house offers 8 spacious rooms with either beach or historic harbour views. All rooms feature en-suite facilities, colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities, and full central heating. Single rooms have private bathroom access. The property combines Georgian-era architecture with modern comforts, including hair dryers and alarm clocks in every room.
Breakfast
We serve a full English breakfast between 8:30-9:00 AM with vegetarian options available. Guests can choose from fried, poached, or scrambled eggs, accompanied by bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, and hash browns. The dining room offers panoramic views over Weymouth Bay, with flexible seating arrangements for parties of all sizes.
Parking
24-hour paid street parking is available directly opposite the guest house. We offer limited free parking permits on a first-come basis and concessionary tickets at 25% below council rates. These discounted tickets are valid at the Pavilion Theatre car park, located 50 metres from our premises.
Photography Services
Local photographer William Hollyoak displays and sells framed landscape photographs of Dorset in our guest house. He offers professional photography assignments including family portraits against scenic backdrops. Guests can commission bespoke photography sessions during their stay, with equipment available for hire.
Event Access
We provide information about Weymouth's annual events including music festivals, sporting events, and food festivals. The guest house's location offers easy access to Pavilion Theatre performances and nearby Alexandra Gardens' entertainment facilities. Couldn't be more perfect. Beds sooo comfortable..Room spotless and had superb view of the harbour. Right on top of beach front. Excellent b/fast..Owners Sarah and Jamie really lovely...very kind and helpful. Absolutely worth a visit..

We stayed at The Anchorage for 3 nights at the beginning of July and had a lovely time. Sarah couldnt have been more helpful...our room was great, with a superb view. Breakfast was delicious! We will definitely return.
