For the past few months there have been rumours that we are being taken over by another restaurant. We would like to clarify that this is not true. We are not being taken over by anyone and are continuing to trade as normal. At Yantze Chinese Restaurant in Whitstable we offer authentic Cantonese, Peking and Szechuan style cuisine, all freshly prepared by our expert chefs.
You'll find an extensive menu with dishes to suit every taste, with an a la carte menu as well as our all-you-can-eat buffet menu. No matter which option you choose you'll get nothing but the freshest authentic Chinese dishes, cooked to perfection by our highly experienced chefs. Our restaurant seats 120 and we can cater for intimate dining or for larger parties and group functions, such as family celebrations or corporate events.

At the end of the M2 keep right and take the exit onto the A299 Thanet Way. Take the exit marked A2990 towards Whistable. Turn left at the roundabout and join the B2205 Borstal Hill. Continue on the B2205 for aproximiately 1.5 miles through Whitstable High Street and along the waterfront. At the roundabout go straight over and we are on the right hand side on the junction where Tankerton Road meets Baddlesmere Road.

The best Chinese food I have eaten.
My favourite dish was the Cantonese duck followed closely by the lemon chicken. Meats were tender and cooked to perfection. Batter was light and crisp. Service was also very good despite being a busy Saturday night. Was a great choice to eat in and made a perfect meal to celebrate my new job.

Not great experience as made a telephone takeaway order for collection and as I am coeliac and very wheat intolerant, I enquired whether there is a gluten-free option for the spring rolls. The assurance was it was. Back home it looked suspiciously like wheat. Phoning back for futher reassurance the call was taken by another member of staff who said it was wheat. So for those with allergies, beware....staff clueless on allergies which is gravely irresponsible and also may have grave consequences for the allergy sufferer

I would be a 1 star but due to the waitresses being excellent i decided to rate another star. The food is great, the staff is great but the portions are unbelievable. We had a party of 8 and got "all you can eat" at £28 per person (including two children one aged 8 and another 10). We got told it was a set menu due to entertainment being on and the sizes of the dishes which were bought out were like the sizes for one which 8 people had to share. Also, how are two children under the age of 11 supposed to eat £56 worth of food. Has definitely put me off coming back. Not happy.
