Really nice, we went to the restaurant and the food was brilliant but we had the lobster for starter and there was shell in it. The staff briefly apologised but would expect more from this level of restaurant. Other than that the food was good.

Gorgeous hotel, we were there for afternoon tea which was OK, samiches were quite poor I think, very scant fillings, lovely cakes and tea. Wouldn't go there for tea again but would love to stay. Excellent location.

We enjoyed Afternoon Tea on Wednesday which was booked for a friend's 50th treat. I'd been here 13 years ago for a friend's Hen Do and always remembered how incredible the staff were. I am really happy to say that the service, food, atmoshphere etc was still as good as I remembered it and I actually can't wait to go back again. I've had afternoon Tea and The Ritz and Harrods but for me The Goring is the best choice. My friend was taken ill during our visit on Wednesday and the staff could not have been any more amazing at dealing with the situation. Thank you so much to Colin, the Duty Manager

The thing that stood out the most at the Goring was the amazing staff. We have traveled the world, and have stayed at some of the top hotels, and the Goring's staff is some of the best staff we have experienced. They are genuine and incredibly helpful without being invasive. Truly a class act. Our room was very clean-- which is a big deal for me, and the hotel itself had a great energy about it. At the end of the day though, I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff was, maybe because it can be rare to have this experience, even at some of the finest hotels, so it was such a treat and will
