Core Chiropractic
Opening our doors in 2011, we have been working in the York community to provide exceptional chiropractic care. We strive to integrate both passive and active interventions to develop bespoke care packages for our patients' helping them achieve their goals, whether that is to play bowls, mowing the lawn, or run a marathon.

With this in mind, my approach here would be to firstly use some passive care, such as spinal manipulation, mobilisation or various soft tissue therapies, secondly move into some specific. These problems often seemingly appear from nowhere, such as waking with it, or turning your head to look at something, rather than there being some big event such as a fall which may.

What to expect
Report
We try to see new patients within 24hrs, for this, we have flexible appointment times from early mornings into the evenings, we also try to sandwich the first two visits together to start the process of getting you right, however, it is not always possible. On your first visit to the clinic, you will be welcomed by one of our reception team.
What we treat
Report
Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuro-musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors practice a manual approach. Doctors of Chiropractic are specifically trained to detect and correct problems in the spine, often before the patient is even aware they exist.
Activator
Report
The Activator is a small, hand-held instrument which delivers a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. It is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation discussed above. Huggins T, Boras AL, Gleberzon BJ, et al.
Massage and fascial release
Report
Myofascial release therapy is a type of medical massage, which helps to release the tightness and shortness in the muscles. Myofascial tissue is the thin but strong fibrous tissue that can be found throughout the body. This connective tissue provides important support to both muscles and bones.

Most participants choose MFR therapy after losing function in a particular area of the body or if they're experiencing pain in the soft tissue of that area. For myofascial release, a therapist will stretch and massage the areas of your body with tightened muscles with manual pressure. The therapist then releases pressure and repeats the process until they feel the tension in the trigger point or other area has successfully been released.
Instrument assisted soft tissue work
Report
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a process in which the clinician uses a hand-held instrument to help fascial restrictions in soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia, and nerves) start to slide over one another again.

Once the damaged areas are detected, the instrument is used to deliver a controlled microtrauma to the affected area this is to stimulate a local inflammatory response, which initiates a cascade of healing activities.Adhesions within the soft tissue that may have developed as a result of surgery, immobilization, or repetitive strain, are broken down, allowing the patient to regain function.
