We had a beautiful lunch here on Sunday. The portions are generous and the flavours were delicious! Locally caught fresh fish in a lovely batter, served with homemade chips tartar sauce & a lemon wedge. Some of the best fish & chips we have ever had. The staff were very polite & friendly, A real treat. Highly recommend this place. Thanks guys! it was brilliant,

The shed
The Shed sits at the end of the Harbour at Porthgain, Pembrokeshire with fantastic views of the Harbour and the Sea beyond. It is a traditional 'Fish and Chip' shop but due to its proximity to the water, 'Fresh' Sea Food takes on a whole new meaning.
Unpretentious, simple but iconic. This small stone building is a completely honest little restaurant offering basic Fish and Chips with some clever additions. Their web site boasts:
"A small, but intimate & welcoming bistro in the renowned village of Porthgain - a unique & local experience offering Fish & Chips with simple and favourite

Stopped into Porthgain specifically to grab some lunch from The Shed. It was worth the trip. Catch of the day was monkfish and we smashed through this in minutes with a fantastic view of the harbour. Food came quickly, was perfectly cooked and wouldnt hesitate to go back!

Following an excellent review by The Times UK. We booked a Sunday evening dinner via the online booking system which was a clear and straightforward process. The meet and greet system was a good start and fuss free
We knew that we would be upstairs which was no problem.the food choices were quite extensive with choices to suit most people. We shared the garlic prawns starter which must have come out of a furnace they were so hot
We had a full and a half portion of battered monkfish plus the usual
everything was exceptional including the service

Very delicious fresh fish. You need to ask for "catch of the day" they will give you a fresh. I got a fresh monkfish. It was so yummy and I've ordered a scampi as well. Welsh cider and.... nothing to say but it is good to book in advance than wait 1 hour .

Unfortunately, it was takeaway only... However, I loved the Monkfish, Chips and Mushy peas takeaway (with bottle of beer). All very tasty! On the plus side being able to sit on the harbour in the evening was lovely. I will definitely revisit to dine in once CoViD restrictions are gone.
