What documentation do I need to hire a van?
Bring a valid UK driving licence with 3+ years experience and 2 recent proof of address documents less than 3 months old.
Can I hire a van for weekend use?
Yes, we offer weekend packages from Friday to Sunday with rates starting at £69 for Ford Transit Connect models.
Are there age restrictions for drivers?
Drivers must be aged 25-70. We may accept drivers over 70 with additional documentation and insurance verification.
Do you charge for fuel usage?
Yes, fuel cost will be calculated and added to your hire charge if the vehicle isn't returned with a full tank.
How does the security deposit work?
A £200 deposit is pre-authorised on your card during hire, remaining blocked for 3-7 working days after vehicle return.
Are vehicles available on bank holidays?
Our facility remains closed on Easter Sunday, Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Bank Holidays. Bookings must be collected before closures.

The hiring process was quick, straightforward, and at a better rate than other van hire companies in the area. The owner, Neil, couldn't have been more helpful and patient with me as it was my first time hiring a van, and he was just a genuinely nice guy. Would highly recommend using CanDu and will be using them again in the future.

Great service from the owner. Friendly and walked us through the operations of the features of the vehicle. Unfortunately parking for customer vehicles is difficult so get a lift down there

Reserved a long wheelbase van, arrived to collect and was issued with a standard transit, not ideal when transporting a very large long carpet. Claimed their was confusion on what I required even though I specified the length of the carpet on the phone. Owner is a lovely chap.
Van was very very tatty, faulty electrics and had seen some very tough times, however that is reflective in the day rate.
