General Consultations
Our primary care services include face-to-face and virtual consultations with experienced GPs. Patients can book appointments through the NHS App, online triage system, or by phone. Prescription Management
We offer comprehensive prescription services including repeat prescriptions via NHS App, electronic prescription transfers, and medication reviews. Patients can collect prescriptions from nominated pharmacies 3-5 working days after submission.
Home Visits
Available for genuinely housebound patients, our home visit service requires requests before 10am for routine visits. Emergency home visits after 10am are assessed by clinical staff, with some cases managed by the Acute Visiting Service.
Extended Hours
Through partnership arrangements, we provide evening and weekend appointments at St Peters Centre and Padiham Health Centre. These sessions are staffed by GPs with access to patient records, ensuring continuity of care beyond regular surgery hours.

Book appointments through the NHS App, online triage system, or by calling 01282 500666 during office hours. Emergency appointments available via NHS 111 outside these times.
What prescription services do you offer?
Order repeat prescriptions via NHS App, website, or in-person. Collect from nominated pharmacies 3-5 working days later. Electronic prescriptions available through EPS.

Ive been with this surgery all my life, and in the last few years it has gone downhill. Trying to get an appointment to see a doctor is almost impossible. If you are ill and need a doctor you wont get one here
My advice for what its worth, is to avoid choosing this surgery if you are looking for one. I will be looking to go elsewhere..

Dr's and nurses I find are are very good, understanding and listen well and provide excellent care and support. The receptionist staff are beyond rude, vile and one in particular has reduced me to tears before today because she was so nasty. Also rung for an appointment and got told that she couldn't make me one if I wouldn't tell her why I needed one, can I ask, are the receptionist triage trained? Are they using an agreed streaming process? If so then great and well done, however given the conversation I had with the reception team I highly doubt it. She insisted I explained to her what was

Receptionist are rude. Asked for a repeat prescription over the phone was told due to covid dieing down I had go in to order and that's fine. But then I ask to see a doctor was told I could not due to covid. That was a complete contradiction from herself to her above statement. She just kept arguing with me. The receptionist are rude and argumentative.

Have been trying all morning to speak to someone for 3 hours now. Says line is busy. The one time it was ringing no one answered. Tried the day before for appointment but was told to phone next day. These guys need to sort out the phone lines.been trying oxford Rd as well same scenario. Complete joke. I would not recommend anyone to join this practice. Receptionist need to get their attitude sorted as well and telephone manners and how to talk to patients. Very abrupt and rude at times. The level of care I have received from the Drs, Nurses and Midwives at Parkside is second to none and has been of a high standard. On the other hand, the receptionists are rude, aggressive and arent very helpful. I understand there is sometimes a shortage of appointments but we are all people and there is no need to be as rude as they are. They let the practice down.
