Biomechanics
Report
Biomechanics is the understanding of how our muscles, bones and joints work together as we move and as podiatrists we use this in the diagnosis, treatment and management of symptoms in the lower limb.

Sports injury is a passion and specialism of ours at Colne Valley Chiropody, not only from the background of all our podiatrists, but we are also associated with a specialist mountain footwear fitting team that regularly refer patients that require biomechanical assistance.

We appreciate how busy individual schedules can be, therefore aim to make the process of delivering high quality foot care specifically around our patient's needs.

Shockwave therapy ESWT
Report
Shockwave therapy stimulates the body's natural healing process. There is actually an immediate reduction of pain and improved ease of movement. Secondary effects are minor. Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive alternative treatment to cortisone injections or even surgery to chronic conditions.

Protocol states that three treatments are necessary at weekly intervals; your Podiatrist will then closely evaluate your response to treatment and further sessions maybe required for a successful outcome.Generally there will be immediate pain relief, but there may be some discomfort experienced 2-4 hours after.
