Stopped on the way back to Dumfries. We had just met up with our daughter and family and was looking for some where we could take in our dogs. This please was more than welcoming to all 6 of use +2 dogs. The food was fantastic and home cooked with proper size portions. I would definitely recommend this pub/Hotel to anyone

Whilst on the drive back to Northern Ireland from Uni, my car unfortunately broke down and I missed my boat home. At the last minute the amazing staff here made me up a room for the night, poured me a pint of Guinness and the next morning cooked me a great full Scottish breakfast, all at a very reasonable price! I honestly cant thank the staff here enough for helping me out when I was so stuck, their generosity hasnt gone unnoticed and I would happily recommend this place to anybody passing through!

Always get a nicely cooked meal here and there is plenty on the plate too. Hygiene wise it is better than some other establishments. The furniture could do with some refurbishment.
