With over two decades of professional experience, I have dedicated my career to nurturing musical talent through piano education. Starting my journey at age 7 with a music scholarship, I achieved Grade 8 (ABRSM) by 16 and later earned the Advanced Certificate in Piano and a Diploma in Piano Teaching (ABRSM). My 17-year career in adult education equipped me with unique skills to support learners of all ages, which I now apply in private piano tuition. As a member of The Curious Piano Teachers and the European Piano Teachers Association, I adhere to rigorous professional standards and safeguarding practices. My qualifications include a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Post-16) and specialist training in teaching learners with dyslexia, ensuring inclusive, tailored instruction.

I maintain enhanced DBS clearance and public liability insurance, prioritising student safety and trust. My teaching philosophy combines technical excellence with creative expression, catering to both children aged 6+ and adults seeking to begin or resume their musical journey. Through regular performance opportunities in choirs and piano groups, I foster practical musicianship skills that extend beyond the classroom. Lessons are designed to build confidence and technical proficiency while maintaining enjoyment, whether students pursue formal examinations or personal growth.
