Everything is freshly homemade here in our kitchen - all stocks, sauces, cakes, ice creams. Our fish is wild and Cornish - the highest quality you'll find anywhere - and you can also buy it fresh to cook at home. You'll always find a meat and a plant-based option on our menus too. All pieces are for sale, and enjoying art over dinner is the perfect way to spend time with a piece before taking the plunge.

About us
Report
When we first saw 242 West End Lane way back in 2002, those gorgeous 1930s wall tiles were hidden behind decades of paint and plaster. Turns out the space had been a classic 'wet fish shop' for most of the 1900s. And that was the spark for this exciting, crazy journey and the unapologetic reason for our kooky name.
Menus
Report
We focus on local, wild-caught fish -- straight off Cornish dayboats and to your plate within 48 hours. If we use farmed fish, such as the beautiful salmon from Loch Duart >> or halibut from Gigha >>, we ensure the farm is reputable and never uses nasties such as antibiotics or growth promoters in their feed.
West Hampstead stories
Report
The pleasures of West Hampstead's streets are found with some difficulty and in the most unlikely places, making them all the more rewarding to discover. There are rows of decorated terraces showing the exuberance of the Victorian builder. You can find sunflowers in Sumatra Rd, ferns in Mazenod, and dragons in Inglewood and Woodchurch.
Art
Report
We aim to change it up every few months, sometimes featuring work from a single artist, other times we curate a group exhibition. We're loving photography at the moment. James Sparshatt is a fine art photographer secialising in Latin music and dance photography whose work dramatically captures the vibrancy and emotional intensity of life.
