It has since changed hands twice, most recently coming under the guidance of Mrs. Indira Panchal BSc(Hons) in 1991. Since this date, the pharmacy has evolved from a small local pharmacy to a group of highly active, vibrant, full service pharmacies in the Bedford area with Berkeley Pharmacy opening in 2003, The Village Pharmacy in 2005, and Shortstown Pharmacy in 2009.

We offer a wide range of travel vaccinations at our pharmacy. If you need vaccinations for travel purposes or occupational health, we are well placed to help you. Our travel vaccination pharmacists will take you through a consultation to establish your vaccination needs and requirements. We also offer anti-malarials which can be dispensed at the same appointment.
EPS Nominations

If you get regular prescriptions, the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) may be able to save you time by avoiding unnecessary trips to your GP. Choosing a pharmacy or dispensing appliance contractor to process your EPS prescription is called nomination.
This means you'll no longer have to collect a paper repeat prescription from your GP practice - instead, you can go straight to the nominated pharmacy or dispensing appliance contractor to pick up your medicines or medical appliances.Because your pharmacist has already received your electronic prescription, they may be able to prepare your items in advance, so you just have to pick it up with no extra wait.

As a Meiklejohn Pharmacy customer with regular medication needs, if you find your time is at a premium why don't you ask our Pharmacy staff to register you for our free Repeat Prescription Service. The service we provide is easy to set up - you authorise us to collect your prescription from your doctor on your behalf, so that we can get your medication prepared and waiting for you whenever you visit the Pharmacy.
