Services
Water Lilies
Our extensive water lily collection enhances ponds with floating foliage and vibrant blossoms. Available in diverse colours and sizes, they provide shade for fish, reduce algae growth, and suit both small and large water features. Expert guidance helps customers select varieties from dwarf options to deep-water cultivars.
Oxygenators
Submerged oxygenators improve water quality by absorbing nutrients and releasing oxygen during daylight. While ideal for small ponds, we advise on density management to prevent invasiveness in larger water bodies. Species like Elodea and Hornwort support aquatic ecosystems naturally.
Invasive Species Advice
We educate customers about legally restricted invasive plants like Water Hyacinth. Our guidance helps identify problematic species and recommends native alternatives to protect local ecosystems while maintaining garden aesthetics.
Molluscs Supply
Ramshorn snails and swan mussels complement aquatic ecosystems by controlling algae and filtering water. We supply these species to enhance biodiversity while advising on their ecological roles and maintenance requirements.
Moisture-Loving Plants
Our bog plant collection includes ferns, primulas, and moisture-tolerant perennials for garden wet areas. These species provide year-round interest while supporting pollinators and creating naturalistic water-adjacent landscapes.

Excellent store with a massive variety of pond plants many of which are native. I was looking for some native species for a new wildlife pond I had dug in my garden and I was not disappointed. I left with a good selection of plants all at an affordable price. Ken and his wife were very knowledgeable and able to direct me to exactly which plants would be suitable for my pond. Highly recommended. Handfuls of native oxygenators were 1, small pots 5 and larger plants 7.50.

Recently visited aquatic gardens... Received an excellent warm welcome from the owners.. apologies for forgetting your names ((atrocious memory)).. even though they were closing shop early for the day; partly due to the awful weather and a personal engagement, my husband and I were given a personal tour.... They engaged us with enthusiasm, knowledge and experience... They listened to our questions and were helpful to our needs... There was no feeling of any pressure sales!!! It was like talking to friends we had known for years... When we are ready to stock our newly made water feature, we will

What a find The Water Margins Aquatic Plant Nursery is! Ken is very generous with both his time and knowledge and we spent an educational and enjoyable couple of hours learning (and spending money!) for our pond project. I highly recommend a visit, and know we will be back for more help and encouragement soon. Dinah and John, Llandovery
